Hong Kong, China, June 27, 2017 /Xinwengao.com/ - Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH (Rutronik), a leading global electronics distributor, is hosting a Power Seminar China 2017 series, on the topic of Power Management in Hybrid Energy Storage Systems (HESS). The three seminars will detail research and development conducted in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences at Zwickau (WHZ), which has resulted in a breakthrough digitally-controlled HESS.

The three power-management seminars are scheduled for the following cities, venues, dates and times:

#8226; Chengdu: July 31, 2017 – 09:00 – 17:00
Holiday Inn Century City, Chengdu
#8226; Shanghai: August 2, 2017 – 09:00 – 17:00
Holiday Inn Shanghai Pudong
#8226; Shenzhen: August 4, 2017 – 09:00 – 17:00
Marco Polo Hotel Shenzhen

Rutronik’s collaboration with Zwickau University has resulted in the development of a first-of-its-kind combined battery and supercapacitor solution that, using digital control, improves the peak-current characteristics of the energy-storage system, significantly minimizes battery degradation, and ensures greater flexibility in performance. In a wide variety of applications, this technology contributes to extremely high levels of reliability, while enhancing the possibilities for further development work.

The new hybrid energy storage solution could well be of particular interest to developers of electric vehicles (EVs). Zwickau is an automotive-industry center in Saxony, Germany, and the University of Applied Sciences specializes in the training of automotive engineers.

This type of hybrid energy system will be of interest to China’s innovators, where official policy is pushing for “new energy” vehicles. In China, as globally, Li-ion is the technology of choice for the battery electric vehicle (BEV) sector, and the gains in enhanced reliability and cycling promised by Rutronik’s new HESS offer new levels of EV performance.

Those gains will be of interest to many industry sectors in China, where the Internet Plus initiative is seeking greater automation in production, and where mobile devices continue to proliferate as the communication, compute and control platforms of choice for all.
