Fraud And Bribery Take Center Stage In Hong Kong This December

Shanghai, China, November 16, 2013 /Xinwengao.com/ - When a company is accused of bribery, stakeholders worry about the long-term effect on the business. And more attention has recently been focused on the machinations of corruption, bribery, corporate malfeasance, and fraud in Asia.

This year continues to be extraordinarily eventful in the global fight against graft, and at the Anti-Corruption Compliance Asia Pacific Summit 2013, December 12th-13th at the Intercontinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong, there will be high hopes for determining what it will mean in the long run.

Many Asian countries face deeply rooted problems stemming from corruption, which in an interdependent global market, in turn calls for international solutions. The Anti-Corruption Compliance Asia Pacific Summit 2013, hosted by Duxes (Shanghai) Business Consulting, is featuring presentations on the latest policies by speakers from across Asia’s legal field such as China’s State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC), the Independent Commission Against Corruption of Hong Kong, and India’s Anti Corruption Bureau.

The summit will also be featuring representatives of global government and non-government organizations like ASEAN, the OECD and Transparency International, along with those from the corporate and legal communities, who as much as anyone, have great interests in understanding the evolving legal framework, new trends in enforcement, and how to avoid losses as corruption steals from everyone along the path of business.

In addition to formal presentations, the delegates will have an opportunity to be more actively involved in panel discussions on topics such as the current status of the FCPA and UK Bribery Act and monitoring “facilitation payments” in Asia Pacific markets. Along the way there will also be opportunities for more in-depth personal discussion and most certainly the development of long-term partnerships as delegates meet with others confronting and finding solutions to the very same challenges that come with preventing corruption in international business.
